LIGNOMAD Network Visit Day

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the LIGNOMAD network, a day of visits was organized on July 20, 2026. First, the Forest HUB located in the municipality of Olius (Lleida) was visited. This is an initiative of the Forest Science and Technology Center of Catalonia (CTFC) that actively contributes to promoting a circular bioeconomy model integrating nature, innovation and competitiveness. Then, the CLT factory of Indústries Boix, located in the municipality of Puig-reig (Barcelona), was visited. The day ended in Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona) with a visit to the building site of the UNICAS SJD project, the future comprehensive care and research center for rare (minority) diseases promoted by the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu and the "la Caixa" Foundation. The building, designed by BATLLE I ROIG ARQUITECTURA, combines a hybrid structure, with basements and cores of reinforced concrete and laminated wood and CLT panels on its upper floors.
