Participation in the UPC Dialogues of members of the GICITED group

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech has organized the UPC Diàlegs Nous materials (Dialogues New materials) conference on 28 April at 10 am in hybrid format at the Auditori Vèrtex and on the UPC YouTube channel. The event has been divided into three thematic sessions:

In the first session, between 10-11 hours, Mr. Albert Cuchí, director of the ETSAV, presented "A decarbonized society" to address innovations to minimize the carbon footprint of construction from the moment the design of the buildings is conceived, and has had the participation of 'Anna Pagès and Mariana Palumbo from the dept. of Technology of the Architecture and Coke Claret of the dept. of Architectural Projects.
In the second session, between 11 am and 12 noon, Ms. Inmaculada Rodríguez, director of the EPSEB, presented "Sustainability and new technologies" to ensure the sustainability of the production of new materials and was attended by Ana María Lacasta, deputy director of the EPSEB, Laia Haurie of the dept. of Technology of the Architecture and Josep Claramunt of the dept. of Agri-Food Engineering and Biotechnology.
In the third session, between 12 and 13 p.m., Mr. Pedro Díez, director of the LaCàN Specific Research Center, presented "The Matter of Dreams" to address the new challenges in engineering and architecture that require new materials to build homes, infrastructure, machines and devices of all kinds and has had the participation of 'Esther Real, director of the ETSECCPB, Irene Arias of the dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Maria Pau Ginebra from the dept. of Materials Science and Engineering.
