PhD student José Gabriel Arias Cuevas wins the "EMA Award"

The doctoral student has won the "EMA Award (Excellence and Academic Merit) for circular economy in construction", for a university research project related to the field of demolitions that originates from the doctoral thesis that he is developing under the direction of Dr. Montserrat Bosch.
José Gabriel Arias Cuevas is a doctoral student in the doctoral program in Architecture, Building Construction and Urbanism Technology. His thesis, supervised by Dr. Montserrat Bosch, a member of the GICITED research group, deals with waste management and its valorization.
Based on the research he is conducting, he presented the work "Proyectos de Recuperación de Zonas Vulnerables con Materiales de Ciclo Cerrado" at the AEDED 2025 Forum, which holds an annual meeting where professionals from the demolition, decontamination, cutting and drilling and recycling sectors in the world of construction are brought together. The work received the "EMA (Excelencia y Mérito Académico) de economía circular en construcción" (Circular Economy in Construction Award).
