Researchers from the GICITED group winners of the Catalonia Construction 2024 Awards

Last June 27, the Night of Construction 2024 was celebrated, organized by the College of Technical Architecture of Barcelona, ​​and during which the Catalunya Construction 2024 prizes were awarded. More than 500 people attended the festive evening of technical architecture and the sector that coincides with the final stretch of Architecture Week.

Researchers from the GICITED group have been awarded in the Construction Innovation category. The candidacy was formed by the REARQ-UPC Group, GICITED-UPC Group (Montserrat Bosch, Oriol París, Aleix Álvarez) and Constraula Enginyeria i Obres (Sorigué Group). The initiative called Regenerar Barcelona: Solution for the urban challenge "regeneration of housing buildings with innovative sustainable systems" seeks to expand existing housing without urban impacts, combining technological innovation, sustainability and adaptability in order to improve the conditions of life in existing housing buildings and has been based on a long-term vision of urban regeneration and positive environmental impact.
