Welcome and presentations of visiting professors and students

Last Thursday, May 16, members of the GICITED group met to welcome and attend the presentation of the following visitors:

• Dr. Daniel Pagnusa is a professor at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and is doing a two-month research stay (June-July) in our group, with the aim of performing acoustic and fire behavior tests of materials.
• Víctor Manuel Santos Rodríguez is a master's student in environmental engineering at the Universidad Autónoma de México and is doing a research stint to carry out fire behavior tests of the materials developed during his master's thesis.
• Chiara Lombardo and Marta Pacinotti are architects who recently graduated from the University of Cagliari (Italy) and are doing a three-month stay at the EPSEB Materials Laboratory, as part of the Erasmus+ Traineeship program. They presented their final degree works entitled "AESTHETIC EARTH - Exploring earth architectural decorations", on the decorations of earth architecture worldwide from the social and cultural meaning, and "RAW EARTH AND DESIGN, Project of a thermal panel of wall”, on the thermal and sensory properties of the earth material, for the development of an earth heating panel as a design element for interior architecture.
